Clinical Engineering

Bridget Moorman, MSBME, CCE, has 25 years experience in the clinical engineering field and currently consults internationally for medical device companies, information technology companies, medical device integration companies, standards promulgation organizations, medical mobile application companies, mobile telecommunications companies and health care and health care pur­chasing organizations. She also writes and presents extensively on health care technology and integration. Prior to consulting, she worked for Kaiser Permanente doing strategic technology management for cardiovascular services, patient monitoring, OB/GYN data management and the biomedical device inter­face to Kaiser HealthConnect initiative. She has also worked for University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, as a clinical engineer doing technology assessment and supporting the artificial heart program. In addition to her pure clinical engineering experience, she has done bio-mechanical research, power-line relay/metering design and space system acquisition/launch/ground systems/telecommunications work.


Bridget is also a retired Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, her last assignment serving as the IMA to the MILSATCOM Systems Directorate at Los Angeles AFB, CA. Her previ­ous Air Force assignments have included political-military analysis for EUCOM and USAFE, squadron command for an aerial port, defense acquisition in support of medical informatics, aerospace systems and acquisition reform.
